Intern with Sustain Dane

Sustain Dane interns assist with a variety of Sustain Dane efforts and programs. During their tenure at Sustain Dane, interns will have an excellent opportunity to gain a diverse and valuable experience in the non-profit sector. Interns will also find opportunities to learn more about social and environmental sustainability issues in the community.

Potential Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach activities for programs
  • Create and execute development plans for program expansion
  • Coordinate community volunteers
  • Write and edit published documents for several different audiences
  • Assist with operational and administrative duties for a growing organization

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Creative, highly organized and energetic individual
  • Self-directed, flexible and personable work approach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work competently with word processing software
  • Two years college experience

Interns may be paid or unpaid depending on level of skill/experience and need. For-credit internships are accepted. Specific responsibilities depend on the skills, experience and interests of the intern and the needs of the organization.
