“As Co-Founder of the Northwest Earth Institute in Portland, I work closely with many nonprofit colleagues around the United States. Sustain Dane is at the top of my list of the most effective regional nonprofits in the nation. So much so that my wife Jeanne and I have chosen to be financial supporters ourselves. Sustain Dane is very simply a great investment in our collective future.”
-- Dick Roy, Co-Founder, Northwest Earth Institute
“I’m impressed by the leadership role Sustain Dane is taking in Madison and also with the North American Eco-Municipality Network. We have learned a great deal from their engagement strategies and efforts to ensure a positive outcome. Sustain Dane is a role model for other community non-profit organizations.”
-- Kelly Baxter, Executive Director, The Natural Step Canada
“Deep change is essential if there is to be a human future and the leadership must come from the community level. Sustain Dane is at the forefront of such leadership and an inspiring example for others. “

“There are many things that we do differently as a result of the ‘Healthy Children, Healthy Planet’ course. We've learned to slow down, to recognize and appreciate the simpler things in our lives - dinner conversations, bedtime rituals, and just doing nothing (but doing it together).”
-- “Healthy Children, Healthy Planet” discussion course participant
"When we read of Sustain Dane's efforts to encourage rain barrel use, we were thrilled. They provide the water that keeps our indoor and outdoor plants happier and less stressed now. The system is simple and efficient, and the barrels can even be 'enhanced' to add artistic touches to our yard."
-- RainReserveTM Rainbarrel user
"The Sustainability-Step by Natural Step course is excellent! I look forward to integrating what I learned from the course and The Natural Step approach into my health care practice. I hope courses such as this find their way into medical school curriculum to inspire a transformation toward more sustainable practices within health care, public health, and beyond.
