Sustain Dane Staff

Bryant Moroder has been the Executive Director of Sustain Dane since December 2002. At just 28 years of age, Mr. Moroder has helped Sustain Dane become one of the most reputable community based non-profits in the midwest through the development and expansion of several Sustain Dane projects and programs.

In addition, during his tenure at Sustain Dane, Mr. Moroder co-founded the North American Eco-Municipality Network and the RainReserve Rain Barrel program, a successful eco-enterprise.

Since 2005 he has been a member of the leadership team that is assisting the City of Madison as it implements the Natural Step framework in city operations, management, projects and polices.

In January 2007 he was a participant in the Sustainability Leadership Summit facilitated by the Natural Step International to stimulate cross-sector partnerships for sustainability leadership among approximately 90 global decision makers.

He graduated from the UW-Madison Business School with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Management, Marketing and an emphasis in International Business.

Deb Saeger joined Sustain Dane in March of 2007 as Rain Barrel Development Coordinator. Her focus is on expanding the rain barrel program by working with Sustain Dane's strategic partners, handling operational aspects including logistics, product development, customer order processing, and providing outreach to encourage mainstream adoption of rain barrels.

Deb comes from an IT background where for many years she worked on software projects from design to rollout, provided technical sales support, and trained end users. Always involved in local sustainability efforts in her free time, she's excited by the opportunity to bring her business experience to Sustain Dane.

Deb has a B. A. in Russian from Grinnell College in Iowa. She recently relocated to the Madison area and looks forward to exploring every mile of the rail trail system in Wisconsin.

Scott Lynch comes to Sustain Dane from a career in sales and marketing in the for-profit world. As an avid kayaker, he has a longstanding interest in water quality. Serving as RainReserve’s Customer and Community Relations Coordinator represents a perfect intersection of these interests.

In his earlier life, he led a small manufacturing company through a phase of explosive growth, increasing sales by 300%.

He is looking forward to learning how to view the world through the not-for-profit lens, and applying the knowledge he has gained to furthering Sustain Dane’s mission.

Scott is also a committed local-food activist, and has provided educational and consulting services to small farmers about how to increase the effectiveness of their marketing efforts.

He and his family also write the email newsletter for one of Madison’s premier farmers’ markets, the Westside Community Market.

An avid cook and baker, when he is not out on the water or working to protect it he is most likely in his backyard baking bread or pizza in his wood-fired mud oven.
