Madison Audubon Society is making time for birds through education about the natural world and the threats that natural systems are
facing, by advocating to preserve and protect these systems, and by maintaining nearly 1,000 acres of wildlife sanctuaries where

The focus of NALMS is on lake management for a wide variety of uses, but to do this it is necessary to
address land use and other issues on a watershed level. We get involved in land, streams, wetland and even
estuaries in the course of our activities, as lakes are a logical endpoint in systems that incorporate all
of these resource types. The focus is lakes, but the medium is water, and it defies governmental boundaries,

Participants can receive fresh, organically grown produce either through a regular CSA share, or they may choose to develop community "buying clubs" where distribution is handled by participating households. The Progressive Dane Smart Growth Task Force has evolved into the People-First Planning Task Force to coincide with the comprehensive planning processes underway in Dane County and in the City of Madison. RAVEN stands for the protection of living wildlife, natural predators, and wild native nature in Wisconsin. To that end, it seeks to democratize the annual vote and election on nature and wildlife issues in Wisconsin, held the second Monday in April in every county. Wisconsin is the only state to have such a public forum. RAVEN is an educational effort to inform non-hunting citizens of their right and responsibility to vote on issues such as trapping, bear hounding, killing mourning doves, and their opportunity to make resolutions to propose policy on any nature issues, and elect representatives to protect living wildlife and biodiversity, as priorities. Currently, of 360 delegates, all are hunters and trappers. RAVEN seeks help in educating wildlife watchers of the importance of this opportunity to help their wild neighbors.
