A great, great Eco-Salon

On Monday evening we started the second season of Eco-Salons with a great "show" - first reading from local, award-winning children's author Sheila Cohen, from her book about Gaylord Nelson. And then, the wonderfully curious Erika Janik. If you were there, you know how fun, smart and engaging she is. With already four books out - three about "odd" Wisconsin history and her fourth, most recent about apples.
I picked up a copy myself and highly recommend buying a copy; a great gift. If for nothing else, to learn how Rambo (yes, the sweaty muscle-bound movie-action figure) is actually named from a bulky species of apples! Read a short bit here.
And we will see you next second Monday for the next Eco-Salon.
