Movie Time!

Over the past few months, The Economics of Happiness has traveled around the country, informing and inspiring communities. This is the Madison debut.
The film is part documentary, part dissertation about the economic and emotional connections that communities have with their “place.” It is a beautiful—and, at times, troubling—travelogue, as the filmmakers examine communities around the world and consider how they can re-center their economic, ecological and emotional bases. It is not a story crybabying about problems; instead, the movie offers solutions from the mouths of eco-smarty-pants like Bill McKibbens.

Co-Director of the Business, Environmental and Social Responsibility Program at the UW-Madison School of Business, Tom Eggert, introduces the film with a short, lively lecture.
